Three people, including two MPs, have died and ten were injured in the explosion that hit the cafeteria of Iraq's parliament building on Thursday.
MP Mohammed Hassan Awad from the National Dialogue bloc (a Sunni group not part of the government) was identified as one of the killed.
Another MP was also killed and at least three more parliamentarians were among the injured, a police source told the BBC.
The cafeteria is reserved for MPs and their staff and the explosion happened during lunchtime. The parliament building is located inside Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki called the bombing a "criminal and cowardly act," in a statement read on state television. "This savage act will not weaken the will of the representatives of the Iraqi people," al-Maliki said.
