Blast Rocks Algerian Capital, Dozens Injured

A powerful explosion has hit an area in the Algerian capital where the prime minister's office is located, BBC reported.

Dozens of people were reported injured in the blast that rocked several buildings in Algiers city centre and caused panic.

It was not immediately clear what caused the explosion.

Ambulances and police cars immediately rushed to the multi-storey building, witnesses say. The building also houses several Algerian ministries.
