UK's Defence Ministry has announced that none of the sailors, who were freed from Iran on Thursday would be punished for apologizing to the Iranian people.

Some of the 15 troopers, who were held hostages and then released, were taped apologizing for entering Iranian waters. They won't be penalized for their statements, but the authorities will investigate the circumstances that made them go public with the apology.

The UK government kept on insisting that the soldiers had been in Iraqi waters and faced the tape of them apologizing with great discontent. Most British troopers have been taught what to do if they are captured, but only the special operation units and pilots go through training that prepares them for being hostages.

Iran released the sailors calling their move a gift for the UK.
