Bulgarian, Romanian Immigrants Take Over London's Hyde Park - Report

Immigrants from Bulgaria and Romania, who left for Britain in search of work and a better life, are camping out in London's famous Hyde Park, the Daily Mail reported.

For those whose search remains fruitless, the wooded areas of London's huge landmark have become a favorite place to find shelter for the night.

Many of the campers do not have the money even for the fare back, nor do they want to leave the Albion just yet, refusing offers of free tickets.

Bulgarian Tsvetana Jovtcheva, 27, told the paper she had been unable to find a job since arriving in London.

"I do not want to go home yet. I can earn good money in this country - much better than at home. But it is much more difficult than I thought it would be. My government should warn us how difficult it is to come here and find work," she said.

Romanians and Bulgarians can travel freely to UK after joining the European Union in January, but British authorities said they would limit the number of low-skilled workers from the two countries to 20,000 people this year.

The exact number of Bulgarians and Romanians who left for UK in the past three months in search of a job, however, remains unknown.
