Bulgaria's foreign minister, together with the ambassadors of Germany, Finland and Portugal took part in yet another initiative celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, this time planting trees in downtown Sofia.

Head of the European Commission Representation Michael Humphreys also participated in the "green" celebration together with Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov.

The politicians and the diplomats planted the trees in the City Garden in front of the National Art Gallery.

After planting his trees. Minister Ivaylo Kalfin conferred with the mayor on the issue of closing the area where Sofia's skaters used to train, because a station of the underground is being built.
