About 96% of the Bulgarians support a full or partial ban on smoking at public places, an inquiry, conducted by the EU shows.

The campaign for establishing the citizens' attitude toward the harmful activity is organized by the EU Health Commissioner Markos Kiprianou and will continue until April 15.

Individuals, families and even whole companies' teams give their opinion in letters, sent to Bulgaria's Health Ministry.

Until the end of March 264 Bulgarian nationals took part in the survey.
