January receipts from industrial exports fell by 11,6 % over the previous year, mainly due to a drop in exports of metals and chemicals, data of the National Statistics Institute show. In January receipts from metals and metal products were down by 23,9% year-on-year, chemical exports fell by 5,2%, while with domestic industrial sales the drop is about 4%.

Total industrial sales in January fell by 6,9% over the previous year, as sales from the processing industry decreased by more than 12%. Mining sales rose by 25,2%, while sales of electricity, water, gas and heating - by 5%.

The 5,1% fall in industrial production was mainly due to the decreased processing industry output – almost 11% over the previous year. Mining industry output rose by 25%, production of electricity, water, gas and heating – by 3,8%.
