The EU is a winning project because it is realized by people who follow their dreams, said Bulgaria's EU-Affairs Minister Gergana Grancharova at a Monday round table on the occasion of the block's 50th anniversary.
"For 50 years the customs collaboration grew into a joint market with a common currency," the minister added.
The Head of the European Commission Representation Michael Humphreys also joined the event, which took place at Sofia University.
"Bulgaria should hold a discussion on the European Constitution and the reforms, which have to be made before the MEP vote on May 20," Mr. Humphreys announced.
Elitsa Katsarova, who attended the youth summit in Berlin, underlined that the common European idea lacks youth enthusiasm. It comes as a result of the fact that the youngsters are not completely content with what is Europe at the moment.
The debate was one of the events, organized by the European Commission Representation to Bulgaria, which mark the 50th anniversary since the EU foundation.
