On Sunday Sofia's Prosecutor Office announced all court guards will undergo checks because journalists complained they are treated rudely and even get bruises sometimes.
This made me think what journalists have done to be treated like this. And just minutes later I saw on the TV a report from a court in Bulgaria, made some days ago in which the guards are taking a criminal out of the court room. Suddenly the four guards were surrounded by at least 20 journalists, who pushed them as they wanted to take pictures and ask the criminal questions, the answers to which, we all know are kept secret because of the ongoing trial.
I imagined myself being one of the guards and all of a sudden a crowd of hysterically behaving people surrounds me and impedes me doing my job. Of course I will try to push them away and I will surely push them harder of they continue pushing me back.
But journalists are sometimes a really insolent tribe and maybe it is not the guards who got a bit nervous that need to be sanctioned, but it is journalist that need to get a lesson and somebody must just go and tell them clear enough "Enough with the pushing already, you are not delivering a baby or whatever!"
