The European executive relaxed the restrictions on Bulgarian dairy products, allowing the country's producers to export goods that do not meet the bloc's stringent criteria to third-party countries, Darik News reported on Friday.
The deal, brokered by Bulgarian Agriculture Minister Nihat Kabil and European Commissioner for Health, Marcos Kyprianou, is valid until the end of the year.
The dairy products that do not meet the EU's standards can be exported to countries outside the bloc only if those countries explicitly agree to it.
The lifting of restrictions has an immediate effect, Darik News added.
