Politicians and journalists gathered in Sofia to plant trees in the capital's Oborishte park, following Darik Radio's initiative "Plant a tree, go green with Darik."

Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov, Mps from all leading parties, Darik's head Radosvet Radev and a team of journalists all joined the cause.

Apart from planting 10 birch and willow trees, the group also made sure that the 12 trees planted last year are still alive. The initiative gave start to the Darik eco-week, during which the radio will focus mostly on environmental topics. This week's motto is "Each of your green decisions matters to Earth".
