Bulgaria and Slovenia signed an agreement setting up a framework for scientific cooperation between the two countries, Darik News reported on Tuesday.

The agreement was signed in Sofia by Bulgaria's Education Minister Daniel Valchev and his Slovenian counterpart Jure Zupan.

The agreement signed on Tuesday will allow scientists from the two countries to work closer as part of the European Union's VII Framework Program for Research and Development between 2007 and 2013, Valchev told reporters.
