The upcoming elections for Bulgarian members of the European Parliament may cost the country up to BGN 12 M, State Administration Minister Nikolay Vassilev predicted.

Vassilev said he expects that the BGN 8 M that the government has planned to allocate to the elections would not be enough. However, he was convinced that the Cabinet would grant the rest.

The State Administration Ministry announced Monday a public tender for the ballots, brochures and papers needed for the May 20 elections.
