Bulgaria will be ready with its rural areas development program by the end of March, Agriculture Minister Nihat Kabil said.
He explained that the plan for the program will be sent to the European Commission for coordination with, and it will then need the approval of the Ministry.
Once all procedures are met, local initiative groups will launch a campaign for allocating a third of the cash that the EU has granted.
Kabil opened in Sofia a conference on the development or rural areas, and explained that in the next seven years Bulgaria will finance different projects worth over EUR 3.24 B. EUR 2.6 B of those will come from the EU.
