Members of the European Parliament decided Saturday to proclaim March 11 the European Day in Memory of the Victims of Terrorism.

This is the date that markjs three years since the bloody attacks on commuter trains in Madrid's Atocha station. A total of 191 people lost their lives there, including four Bulgarians. Another 1741 were injured.

The Atocha blasts were the deadliest terrorist attack in Europe after the attack in Lockerbie in 1988.
