Women all over Bulgaria are celebrating Thursday the International Women's Day, although many consider the holiday a relic of communism.
Despite the fact that many ladies maintain that a woman should be celebrated on any given day not just March 8, no one would turn down flowers on that particular date.
On this day women celebrate their economic, political and social achievements. In Bulgaria, however, this day traditionally has been mostly about paying a tribute to mothers.
