It's been years since Bulgaria's pensioners have been living on their miserable pensions.
And it's been years since they have been crying out loud they want more money to get a decent living. Their outrage reached the boiling point when they started staging protest after protest every Thursday in front of Parliament's building with hopes their requests to be heard.
MPs for sure hear them and are already pondering on how to improve the situation while awaiting the Labour and Social Minister Emilia Maslarova on how to change things for the better.
Maslarova herself seems to have dwelled upon the burning issue for quite some time and reached the perfect resolution of the problem. It is as follows: Bulgaria's pensioners will have more living money when they sell their apartments.
The cleverest resolution of them all! It will make the retired happier and richer BUT homeless.
And as most of them have only one apartment, unlike Maslarova, she must start thinking really hard how to solve the future problem of the high percentage of homeless elderly people in the country.
I can help her in the thinking process. I suggest Maslarova buys several large buildings and shelter them. Or she may just shelter pensioners on a rotational basis in her own home and later apply for a Nobel Prize for humanity.
