Bulgaria's Former President Heads Rightists' MEP List

Politics » BULGARIA IN EU | February 20, 2007, Tuesday // 00:00

Bulgaria's former President Petar Stoyanov is at the top of the list of the rightists' MEP candidates.

That was announced by Stoyanov himself after the meeting of the National council of Union of Democratic Forces on Tuesday.

The former president is also the leader of the right-wing party. Despite being the first in the rightists' list of MEP candidates, Stoyanov does not intend to resign from his post as leader of the party.

For the second place in the list was appointed Lachezar Toshev, and for the third one Martin Dimitrov.
