Saints' Battle for Bulgarian Hearts

Today all Bulgarians celebrate. But, as usual, divided into two camps. The first one is celebrating the day of love and the other - the day of the wine.

Love's leader is called Valentine, and wine's one - Trifon. Both of them do their best to win the most important battle - the battle for conquering as many Bulgarian hearts as possible.

The culmination came. The two teams' players met face to face.

The arena is covered with a cloth, drawn with red hearts, floating in a sea of wine. The weapons are chocolate bonbons and corkscrews.

While the first team paid tribute to Valentine by shopping presents for their beloved ones, the other showed their respect to Trifon by tossing wine on the streets in protest of excise tax on homemade alcohol.

Finally, despite their different values, the rivals concluded a truce. The date was February 14.

They decided to unite their two spirits as realized they could not exist without each other. Because love would not be half as sweet without the occasional glass of wine and the wine's taste becomes oh, so bitter if drunk without love.

So, Bulgarians, enjoy the best cellar of love!
