Three of Bulgaria's world-famous gold treasures dating back to Thracian times are back in Sofia after stirring a real sensation in Paris.

Gold artefacts from the Rogozen, Panagyurishte and Borovo treasures have been displayed at the National Historical Museum in Sofia in an exhibition, which opened on February 10. It will welcome Sofia visitors till February 24 before heading for Switzerland.

The exhibition reveals the virtuosity of ancient goldsmiths, who have reached the pinnacle of arts. The artefacts - witnesses to a particularly brilliant civilization - impress with their decorative richness.
