Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev held a lecture Thursday on the Benefits and shortcomings of and from the two new EU members in the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Bulgaria's national interests will be fulfilled only in a strong and effective European Union, the PM said before LSE's students.
The accession was the most ambitious national project that united the efforts of the government and society as a whole Stanishev said. The EU reaps about 70% support in the country and Bulgarians, in general, are euro-optimists, he added.
