Movies: Sofia Lures with Rich Fest Panorama

More than 100 films, 20 documentaries and 50 short-films from all over the world will shower Bulgarian capital during the traditional Sofia Film Fest, opening this week.

The international forum will continue for ten days, February 1-11, providing a valuable opportunity to movie lovers to peep into the world's best on the screen.

The Dusan Milic movie "Gucha! - festival of love", a Serbian-Bulgarian coproduction, will open the festival on Thursday in the National Palace of Culture.

Among the guests - dozens of big names from the world filmmaking guild - outstands German director Wim Wenders, an emblem of independent moviemaking.

The famed US director David Linch will be presented with his newest production Inland Empire.

Among the international names, a dozen Bulgarian titles will please the local fest's audience, all of which produced after March 2006.
