The unique reproductions and 3D scale models of Leonardo da Vinci's pictures continue to gather crowds in Sofia Sofia City Art Gallery.

Sofia citizens, guests from other cities and countries queue up in front of the entrance and wait for hours to get in and see with their own eyes Da Vinci's works. Even the subzero temperature on Saturday did not stop people to come to the gallery and spend hours outside before they can enter.

The genius of the artist will be on display for more than two months. The exhibit goes under the name "Leonardo da Vinci - Scientist and Inventor".

The exhibition was organised in promotion of Bulgaria's membership in the European Union and will last until March.

It includes 31 functional three-dimensional models, 188 reproductions of pictures and texts and 12 multimedia programs. They present 8 000 images, which describe the most interesting and important facts about the Renaissance, the life and work of Leonardo.

Until now the exhibition, which aims to educate, has been visited by over 4 million connoisseurs in 13 countries. Earlier this year it was presented in Patra, Greece.
