Turkish nationals will be allowed to travel free across Bulgaria with a Schengen visa under changes to the visa agreement between the two countries.

Bulgarian Economy and Energy Minister Rumen Ovcharov and Turkish State Minister Kurtas Tuzmen signed Thursday the protocol of the 17th session of the Bulgarian-Turkish Intergovernmental Committee on Economic and Technological Cooperation.

Bulgaria's consulates in Turkey will extend their working hours and service people even during the weekends to deal with the hatches that propped up right after the country's accession to the European Union.
