Bulgaria will most likely see the peak of its flu epidemic for the year in the end of the week, doctors have predicted.
Angel Kunchev from the Health Ministry's anti-epidemic department told Darik News he expected that the flu would also spread to the north of the country, where there are less cases.
Once the epidemic has started, it will spread, regardless of the weather conditions, the doctor warned.
Several municipalities in Bulgaria, including Sofia, have already announced a state of epidemic. Hospitals are overflowing and more and more schools close their doors every day.
