Bulgaria: Play Nice Photo by Kameliya Atanasova (Sofia Photo Agency)

It has finally happened, boys and girls, the joyous day is now upon us, and after months of bickering, tongue slips and outright insults, we can finally put the dirty war behind us. This is not July 5 but it is, nevertheless, a date that should stay in all of our minds, for a great truce has been reached at last.

Sofia Mayor Borissov and Energy Minister Ovcharov put down their weapons for a while and promised to play nice for the greater good - that of Sofia's heating company and its clients. It seems like yesterday when these two were literally at each other's throats, sending accusations and insults flying in the media space. And, believe it or not, it only took them 8 months, several arrests, a couple of resignations and countless scandals to reach this agreement.

Now all we can do is sit tight and watch how long it will be before they call an end to their tentative truce. Any bets?
