Authorities in the Spanish town Coslada admitted the City Hall "overflows" with Bulgarian and Romanian immigrants, who are trying to get legal documents for their stay in the country, El Mundo newspaper reported.
The number of immigrants increased in the last week, days after Bulgaria and Romania's accession to the European Union. The two countries' joining the Union resulted in long queues of immigrants in Coslada, who ask for information and documents with which they can make their new statute of EU citizens legal .
To solve the problem, Coslada authorities have decided to open a special counter that will serve to immigrants needs and provide information on all legal issues concerning visas and documents.
Coslada has a population of 90.000 of natives and 12.000 immigrants, 75% of them Romanians.
