Half of Bulgarians Expect Better Life in EU

More than half of Bulgaria's citizens expect that their job security will increase now that the country is a member of the EU, with many hoping to become wealthier.

Ironically, the biggest fear of the nation is that they may lose their job or become poorer, Afis agency revealed after a poll, with 40% of the population sharing these fears.

54.8% of the Bulgarians hope they will feel more secure about their employment, after all EU regulations are enforced, the survey, ordered by Standart daily newspaper showed.

Some 43.3% expect to start earning more money.
