Bulgaria's Armed Forces have presented the country in the EU with dignity for over two years, Defence Minister Vesselin Bliznakov said and reminded of the Altea operation.

The modernisation and professionalisation of the Armed Forces will continue in 2007 and all efforts are exerted to that effect, the minister said.

One of the major priorities will be the introduction of a partial integrated model in the military administration, Bliznakov told journalists.

About 4,092 servicemen are to be admitted by the full professionalisation of the army, Gen. Stoykov said.
