The nuclear energy issue is yet to be put forward to all EU institutions, according to MEP Geoffrey Van Orden.
"I will continue actively watching Bulgaria's development and will closely cooperate with Bulgaria's MEPs", the rapporteur for Bulgaria in the European Parliament said Tuesday.
Bulgaria's President met Tuesday with Geoffrey Van Orden and Katalin Szili, Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament.
Parvanov thanked Van Orden for his consistent support for Bulgaria on its way to the EU membership.
Bulgaria is well aware that the EU accession is not a one-time act and it will continue exerting efforts in order to fulfil the EC requirements, Parvanov said.
Bulgaria will take active participation in the discussions of topical issues from the EU agenda, including those that refer to the energy security policy, he added.
A high assessment was given to the active dialogue between Hungary and Bulgaria at all levels at Parvanov's meeting with Katalin Szili.
They discussed issues connected with the further development of bilateral relations and the intense dialogue within the EU.
Both Van Orden and Katalin Szili confirmed the readiness of the institutions they are in charge of and their personal commitment to work actively towards the fast and favourable resolution of the case with the death-sentenced Bulgarian nurses in Libya.
