A fairy ship "sailed" in Sofia's streets on January 1 to bid Bulgaria good luck in its EU course.

The ship was steered by the international theatrical company Malabar and passed through Sofia's major boulevards and squares.

The show was organized by the state cultural institute under Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry and by the French Institute in Sofia as part of the program for marking Bulgaria's EU accession.

Malabar's theatrical company is a unique group with international fame. It includes representatives of almost all arts - actors, performers, dancers, musicians, artists.

The company was founded in 1981. For the last 25 years it has made hundreds of shows each of them unique.
