Romania's Roma will start invading the United Kingdom from next Monday when every single person from its 22 million-strong population will be given a way out of one of Europe's poorest and most corrupt nations, the Daily Mail wrote.

"Yes, we can't believe it. You don't need a visa, not even a passport, just your ID card to travel West now. I'll take my chance and go West this year," the author cites a Roma denizen of the Obor market in the capital Bucharest.

Asked about the need for work permits, he said he has never heard of it. A Roma woman retorted that she is going West to steal.

Such sentiments are music to the ears of many of their fellow countrymen. "I'll tell you one good thing that is going to happen after January 1," a source in Romania's pan-European security services told the Dialy Mail on the basis of anonymity.

"The Roma will invade the UK. And we will be glad to see the back of those who go."
