Stars of Bulgaria pop and rock music gathered Monday evening to stage a big concert in support of five Bulgarian medics on trial in Libya.

The major music event took place in front of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia under the heading "Freedom for Bulgarian medics!".

Miro and Galya of KariZma, Doni and Neti, Grafa, Mariana Popova, Iliya Anguelov, Mitko Shterev, Mimi Ivanova and Razvigor Popov, Mihail Belchev, and the bands D_2, Epizod, Caramel, Medicus, and Signal took on stage to protest the injustice against the nurses kept in jail for nearly eight years.

The children from Winnie the Pooh music formation also joined their adult colleagues.

The concert is organised on the eve of a crucial hearing of the Libyan court, set to put an end to a re-trial over charges of deliberately infecting more than 400 kids with HIV/AIDS at a Benghazi hospital.
