BULGARIA'S OLYMPIC DELEGATION CAME BACK FROM SALT LAKE CITY

The Bulgarian delegation, which participated in the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games came back from the United States. Bulgaria's Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg officially greeted the Bulgarians upon their arrival. More than 100 people met the delegation at the Sofia Airport. A lot of people from Chepelare, the native town of Bulgaria's bronze medallist Irina Nikoultchina, waited for her at the airport. Ivan Slavkov, chairman of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, came back from the United States a day before the rest of the Bulgarian delegation. He said that the participation of the Bulgarians in the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games can be qualified as a big success. Bulgaria's Evgenia Radanova took a silver medal at the women's 500m short track final at the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games and a bronze medal at the Olympic individual short track speed-skating 1,500 meters. Irina Nikoultchina took bronze in the biathlon women's 10 km pursuit biathlon.
