Politics » BULGARIA IN EU | November 30, 2006, Thursday // 00:00

Bulgarian MPs voted Thursday to choose a new European observer, who will take the place of Dimitar Abadzhiev.

MPs chose Konstantin Dimitrov, member of the Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) party.

The decision came from DSB as Abadzhiev officially left the party only to found his own civic association.

Right-wing maverick Abadzhiev founded his own political faction European Democratic Road, which took took the form of a non-governmental union, following the example of the GERB civic association.
