Bulgaria's legend in journalism Kevork Kevorkyan has bestowed the first scholarship named after his late wife Nadezhda Dzheneva to a fourth-year student in radio journalism at the Sofia University.
The scholarship is granted for special achievements and amounts to BGN 1,500. It was officially handed in to happy student Georgi Savchev during the official ceremony dedicated to the holiday of the Sofia University on November 25.
During the ceremony the management of the university announced the names of the newly promoted associate professors and professors. The prizes of the St Kliment Ohridski foundation for young scientist and student also found their possessors.
Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski is the oldest high education institution in Bulgaria established in 1888.
