The European Parliament's External Relations Commission will vote Thursday on the last EC monitoring report on Bulgaria.
Prepared by rapporteur Geoffrey Van Orden, the report was discussed Wednesday, and MEPs suggested that the proposal for an eight-month delay in the decommissioning of Kozloduy nuke units 3 and 4 be voted separately.
The report is the most critical yet, Bulgarian EP observer Maria Kapone had said explaining that it was much harsher than the last one.
Van Orden, however, disagreed, saying that he was just trying to make the Bulgarian authorities do what they should to prevent safeguard clauses.
