FORMER RUSSIAN PM IS IN BULGARIA TO PRESENT HIS NEW BOOK

Former Russian PM and Foreign Minister Evgenii Primakov arrived in Bulgaria on February 23. Upon his arrival at Sofia Airport, Primakov said that the fact that Bulgaria aims to join NATO will not be an obstacle for the good relations between Russia and Bulgaria. Primakov is presently MP in the Russian Duma and Chairman of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On Sunday he will attend the presentation of his book “Eight months plus” at the National Palace of Culture and will read a lecture on "Russia in the 21st Century. Foreign Political Priorities. The New Dimensions of Russian-Bulgarian Relations". On Monday at a special ceremony at the St Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia Primakov will be awarded the title of honorary doctor and will deliver an academic speech on "The World After the Events of September 11."
