Estonia will not impose any measures to curb the free movement of labour force from Bulgaria and Romania, the country's prime minister said in Sofia.

Andrus Ansip, who is paying a two-day visit to Bulgaria, talked to journalists after conferring with his Bulgarian counterpart Sergey Stanishev.

He was confident that the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European bloc will be a success for the whole union.

Ansip also attended a private meeting with President Georgi Parvanov. PM Ansip expressed his confidence Bulgaria will manage easily all challenges of the EU membership and greeted the President for the country's coming EU accession.

President Parvanov, from his part, said Bulgaria will try to be a predictable EU member state and will do its best to cover all requirements and recommendations of the European Commission.

Estonia, Finland, Slovakia, Poland and Latvia have so far declared readiness to apply the principle of free movement of workers to the jobseekers from Bulgaria and Romania.

France will open its job market progressively.
