Days of Bulgarian Culture Open Doors in Slovakia

Bulgaria's Culture Minister Stefan Danailov will open Monday the event Days of Bulgarian Culture in Slovakia.

The official opening will take place at the Slovakian National Theatre with the special performance of ex-rhythmic gymnast coach Neshka Robeva's team of dancers. They will perform the musical dance poem "Younatsi" (Heroes), whose themes stem from Bulgarian folklore beliefs and legends.

The Days of Bulgarian Culture will see a panorama of Bulgarian cinema, a number of exhibitions, recitals and concerts all around Slovakia.

The event is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Bulgarian Culture Institute in Bratislava and Bulgaria's upcoming EU membership.

The happening is organised by the Bulgarian and Slovakian culture ministries and the Bulgarian Culture Institute.

During his visit to Slovakia Danailov will meet with his counterpart Marek Madaric. They will discuss the bilateral cultural cooperation, which has solid traditions and is characterised by a constant pursuit of mutually enriching contacts.

The Days of Bulgarian Culture will continue until November 18. The event coincides with the friendly clash between Bulgaria and Slovakia's football teams scheduled for November 15.
