Germany's EU Affairs Minister in the Hessen state Volker Hoff said that he was sure his country would finish the ratification of Bulgaria's EU Accession Treaty by November 24.

Hoff is in Sofia to meet his local counterpart Meglena Kuneva.

He said that Bulgaria and Romania's entry to the EU would finally put an end to the division between Western and Eastern Europe.

It is only natural for the accession of the two countries' to spark discussions but in the end the result on January 1, 2007, will be a united Europe.

A total of 15,000 Bulgarian students are currently studying in Germany and there are 19 flights between Sofia and Frankfurt, the German minister said after discussing cooperation options with Kuneva.
