NASA to Launch Two Satellites to the Sun

NASA has scheduled the launching of two identical STEREO (Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory) space aircraft to the Sun for October 25.
The Delta II Rocket that will carry the two satellites into orbit sits poised on Complex 17A at the Cape Canaveral Air Station, ready to be launched, NASA officials have said.
The mission will help scientists explore the aggressiveness of solar environment.
NASA's satellites will have different orbits for 2 years, which will enable stereoscopic imaging of the Sun and solar phenomena.
Each of the space aircrafts will be equipped with 16 different apparatuses, including telescopes and appliances for solar wind particles measurement.
