A radioactive leakage from the deactivation system of NPP Kozloduy was detected during repair works at sixth nuclear unit.

The leakage was registered on Saturday, September 7, during radiation status checks, Kozloduy's press office announced.

The technical staff on duty has brought the solution back into the unit's chamber and launched deposition works of the leak-affected area.

Kozloduy's management said there is radiation detected inside, no outside the nuclear power plant. It said the rate of the incident was zero under the international standards.
