The death toll of the Amish school shooting reached five children, all girls, international media reported. The two girls, who died in hospital early on Tuesday morning, were a nine-year-old and a seven-year-old. Other five girls remain in hospital a day after the attack. One of them remains in critical condition and another four were described as stable, state police said. The 32-year-old Charles Carl Roberts entered the Amish school on Monday and ordered all male pupils and some adults to leave. He then tied up the girls and began shooting them in the head. After that he committed suicide. Pennsylvania authorities are examining suicide notes the 32-year-old gunman left for his three children. Roberts did not appear to be targeting the Amish and apparently chose the school because he was intent on killing young girls "in revenge for something that happened 20 years ago," state official said.
