President Bush took a hard line toward North Korea as he set off on Saturday for Asia, calling for Pyongyang to stop spreading weapons technology and to stand down its armed forces. Bush departed on a six-day trip to Japan, South Korea and China on Saturday morning for talks also expected to cover reviving the moribund Japanese economy and improving the often prickly U.S.-Chinese relationship.
