A real live elephant strolling along the posh Sofia shopping Vitosha Boulevard thrilled kids and grownups Sunday morning.

Everyone wanted to pet the playful animal, with the fitting name "Baby", who was definitely having fun, sniffing down policemen's private areas and toying with enthusiasts who dared approach him.

The elephant walk was part of HVB Bank Biochim's new commercial starring TV anchor Nicki Kanchev. Baby is the only elephant born in a circus in Europe, and although he is not a star of the stage himself, he often gets invites for disco openings and other posh events. The 22-year-old weighs about 3.7 tons, and towers at the impressive 2.6 meters of height.

Despite being very well-mannered, Baby can be a tad headstrong, and he proved it Sunday by nibbling on the bouquet he was supposed to hand to a little girl.
