Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov discussed Wednesday the Barcelona-Levski soccer game with slightly stunned Serbian folk star Ceca Velickovic.

The two met at the municipality office, with Borissov running a bit late, for he had just landed back from Barcelona where he witnessed Levski's crushing defeat under the pouring rain.

Borissov started off his conversation with Velickovic with a tale of the pouring Barcelona rains during the game, a SNA reporter witnessed. The mayor then wished the folk icon a successful concert "later tonight." Offended Velickovic explained that her concert was the following day and journalists were ushered out while Borissov was struggling to slur over his gaffe.

Velickovic's sensual folk ballads will thrill thousands of her fans in Bulgaria on Thursday at the Sofia's Vassil Levski Stadium. All 1,000 VIP tickets have long been sold out, despite their price of EUR 150 each.
