US-based Westinghouse Electric will provide Bulgaria's Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant with a chemistry analysis system, the Pittsburgh Business Times reported.

The company won the bidding for the contract but the financial parameters of the deal haven't been mentioned.

The online analysis system that Westinghouse will introduce in the plant will come as a replacement to manual sample collection and lab analysis of a number of primary chemistry parameters.

Apart from providing the hardware system, Westinghouse will also be in charge of managing and installing the project.

Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant's Unit 5 will be equipped with the new technology in the spring of 2008. Unit 6 will follow shortly, in the fall of 2008.
