People who care about keeping their mind healthy should watch less TV, and read more fiction books instead, US scientists advise.
Results from a National Memory Test that was carried out by the University of Queensland indicated that people who watch TV for less than an hour daily have better memory.
In the meantime, people who like to read novels also performed better.
Other mind-boosting factors were doing crosswords, eating fish, drinking tea and coffee.
Alcohol, on the opposite, was pointed as a harm to memory performers.
People who drink more than two alcoholic drinks a day performed much worse than the average, scholars underlined.
