A gold, a bronze and two silver medals from the International Olympiad in Informatics were brought to Bulgaria this week.

The country's team with the four medallists returned home from Mexico on Monday night, and were welcomed by President Georgi Parvanov.

Rostislav Roumenov from Shoumen won the gold medal for his homeland, and ranked sixth in the world.

Silver medals went to Presslav Dat Le from Plovdiv and Sofia's Iskren Chernev, while Vesselin Kulev from seaside Varna has a bronze title to hang on the wall.

With its rich set of medals, Bulgaria's team emerged as the world's 11th best in an informal ranking.
